Belgian food writer and culinary historian Regula Ysewijn has been named an honorary Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) by King Charles III.

This recognition acknowledges her significant contributions to British food and culture in both Belgium and the UK, as well as her role in promoting British cuisine via her books, publications and appearances on television. The MBE is a prestigious honor within the British system of decoration, with Regula Ysewijn becoming only the second woman from Belgium to receive it.
